About Nicki Richards
Nicki Richards is a dynamic American singer, songwriter, producer and actress based in New York City. Her influential music work over the years spans many genres and languages- pop, dance, jazz, rock, funk, blues and more. Richards has been wearing many hats in the music business- as a solo artist with several albums under her belt, as a producer
and arranger and as an A-list touring, recording, television and performing vocalist, keyboardist and percussionist.
Born in Hawaii and raised as a Navy Brat by a high-ranking military officer and a jazz singer, Richards attributes living all over the country and singing all over the world to her genre-crossing sound. She was signed as a teenager to Atlantic Records by the late great Ahmet Ertegun after winning Star Search, a competitive national television show, and since then has written and recorded several albums, all of which she produced and arranged.
Richards has recorded and performed with other top artists like Madonna, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Linda Ronstadt, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, Lenny Kravitz, Anastacia, Lady Gaga, Bette Midler, Maxi Priest, Al Green, The Cover Girls, Lenny White and many, many more.
